 Welcome to

the Music City H.O.G. Chapter

The Music City H.O.G. (Harley Owners Group) Chapter is a remarkable group of friends who share a common bond and the pure enjoyment of riding a Harley-Davidson Motorcycle.  Our Chapter is committed to three things:  1) Riding the greatest motorcycle in the world; 2) Gathering with new and old friends;  3) Supporting the community through charitable projects.

And boy, do we ride!  The Chapter will host over 100 organized rides this year.  They include Tuesday night dinner rides, weekend day rides, overnight night trips, and social get-togethers, just for the fun of it!  Safety and riding skills come first, and we advise everyone to refresh their skills by taking a Riders Edge or Motorcycle Safety Foundation Riding Skills course.  You will find a schedule of upcoming Chapter events on this website or you can call 615-242-6067, ext 8, for this week’s events.

The camaraderie of the Music City Chapter could best be measured with smiles, great memories and lifelong friendships.  Our membership consists of a wonderful cross section of people from all walks of life.  As an MCC member, you will have many opportunities to experience how motorcycling, especially on a Harley-Davidson, creates a bond like no other.  Our monthly Chapter meeting is the third Thursday at Boswell's H-D on Fesslers Lane (unless otherwise indicated).  We eat at 6:30 pm and have a meeting at 7:15 pm to discuss the Chapters' upcoming activities.  As always, spouses and family are encouraged to attend.

Giving back to the community is important to us.  During the Chapter's 25-year history, we have supported several local charitable organizations.  However, our efforts are primarily directed to the Metro Nashville Police Department Charities Programs.  These include the Christmas Basket Program, Andrew Jackson FOP Youth Camp, and Shop With a Cop Program.  These are wonderful programs that provide for needy families and children in the area.

I am proud to say Boswell's Harley-Davidson, our sponsoring dealer, stays involved and active in the Chapter.  Also, the dealership kindly extends a discount to current MCC members.

We are excited that you have decided to join or renew your membership to the Music City H.O.G. Chapter, and hope you will come out for the next ride or event.  In the meantime, should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at cooper_chilton@hotmail.com .  Let's ride!

Ride safe and have fun,

Cooper Chilton

2010 Director

MCC'S RIDE POLICY REGARDING THE WEATHER
How do we determine "go" or "no go" on a potentially weather-affected ride?
We call it the 50/50 rule*. According to the WEATHER CHANNEL, if the high temperature is 50 degrees or less, OR there is a 50% chance of rain or more, the ride is cancelled.**

The decision is at the discretion (and direction!) of the Road Captains in charge of the ride.

*("40/40 rule" applies during Standard Time, ie, Fall & Winter. We change to 50/50 rule during Daylight Savings Time, ie, Spring & Summer)

*Check for the most up-to-date changes in activities and events:Call the Ride Line  @ 615-242-6067 ext. 8 or MCC Forum Events Update Page
