A Perfect Day for Going to Prison
The Metro Police Department Christmas Basket Program appreciates our support and invited MCC back to the State Prison to enjoy a BBQ lunch. The event was open to all Boswell's H.O.G. chapters, customers, and other club's who have participated in our annual Metro PD charity drive. The route was scenic, riding through northern Davidson County and ending at the old state prison where BBQ will be served by the hosts, volunteers from the Metro PD Christmas Basket Program.
The Tennessee State Prison was originaly built in the 1860's and has been home to numerous notorius "guests". This was a rare opportunity to tour the grounds of the historic Prison. Several notable movies have been filmed at the prison including The Green Mile. Bring your camera and have your picture taken beside the flag pole where Robert Redford was shot to end the movie, The Castle. We hear they are still looking for an escapee from long ago so ride cautiously past the Guard Towers as you enter...The ride ended at Cell Blocks C and D...scarey, historic, or both? You decide!
