Thursday, December 24th at 5 am, MNPD Officers, MCC members and others gathered for the 48th time to deliver food and toys to the needy of this city. Since 1961 when only one family received a food basket, the dedicated officers of MNPD have demonstrated time and again where the heart of this season rests. This year a record number of families will receive the much needed help of over 4 bushel baskets of food each, and a Santa sized sack of toys for the children. Without this assistance many children would go without a Christmas and many elderly would go hungry.
